Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
This policy explains how Archanix (“we”, “us”) handles personal data collected through https://archanix.work and in the course of providing services. It is written to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the enquiry form, email, call or message us, we receive the details you choose to provide — typically your name, company, email address, phone number and a description of your project. If you apply through the careers form, we also receive the role you are applying for, your experience, and the links to your résumé, LinkedIn profile and portfolio.
Both forms send what you enter to our server, which stores it in our database (MongoDB Atlas) and forwards it to our team by email (through Resend). Alongside it we keep the date, the page you sent it from, your browser type and the country your connection came from — not your IP address — so we can deal with spam and abuse.
Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to see how the site is used: which pages are read, roughly where visitors are (country and city, not street), what device and browser they use and how they found us. It reports on visitors in aggregate; it does not tell us who you are. Outside the EU, the rest of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it sets cookies to tell visits apart. For visitors in those regions it sets no analytics cookies and receives only limited, cookie-less signals. We have switched off Google's advertising features: no remarketing, no ad personalisation, and no advertising profile is built from your visit. Google retains the data for 14 months. You can block it with your browser's settings or Google's opt-out add-on.
Our hosting provider also records standard server logs — including IP address, browser type, requested URL and timestamp — for security and reliability. Web fonts are served from this site itself, so loading a page does not send a request to Google Fonts.
Client project data. During an engagement we may process data belonging to a client, including data about their own customers. In those cases the client is the data fiduciary and we act as a data processor under the terms of the engagement contract.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal
- To deliver services you have engaged us for, and to support them afterwards
- To meet contractual, accounting and legal obligations
- To keep this website secure and available
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Personal data is shared only with service providers who help us operate — Cloudflare (hosting), MongoDB Atlas (storage of form submissions), Resend (delivery of form submissions to our inbox), our email provider and, where an engagement requires them, cloud platforms — and only to the extent needed. Where a provider processes data outside India, we rely on contractual safeguards. We also disclose data where required by law or by a valid order of a competent authority.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you return. Job applications are retained for up to 12 months, so we can contact you if a suitable role opens later; ask us and we will delete yours sooner. Client records are retained for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as tax, contractual and statutory obligations require. You may ask us to erase your data sooner where no legal obligation prevents it.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or complete it, ask us to erase it, withdraw consent you previously gave, and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. To make a request, write to teamarchanix@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access control, encryption in transit, least-privilege access to client systems and internal review of what data we hold and why. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected people and the relevant authority without undue delay if a breach occurs that is likely to cause them harm.
Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting people who have already contacted us will be communicated directly.
